Hooray.. we made it to the new year.
NOW SEND US MUSIC!
We at least want KC Cast to turn 1 year old.. we estimate that will happen some time in February. So we need some more new music to keep it going. Tell any bands that you know that have never been on the show to send us music. Or send it for them and we will ask them for permission to play it.
This year will be a year of self promotion for KC Cast. You should see us out at shows handing out flyers and stickers and hopefully t-shirts. Trying to spread the word about the show. We’ll also be on the lookout for people who want to help. If you want to interview a band or review a local CD release just let us know and we will help you out any way we can.
A good start would be for someone to record some interviews at this year’s Heavy Frequency Awards. I don’t think they’ll let us in again after we ate all their pizza last year.
Sorry for a lack of music.. that’s kind of why I’m posting.
We currently have an active audience of about 1100 people every month listening to the cast. But we haven’t had a good influx of new music lately and we need your help.
Bands, send us your music.. as much or as little as you want kccast.com/submit. Then spread the word around to your fellow local bands. Over the next week going into the new year I would like to get at least 30 new songs for the show. That outta last us for a couple of months.
Take the opportunity to send in your music whenever you are promoting a show so we can get it out there and let people know about your gig.
Venues, stay on the ball yourselves and send us some music from bands that are playing shows that you want to promote (with their permission of course) it doesn’t even matter if it is a band or a song that we have played before.. if they have a show coming up, people need to know what they sound like to decide if they want to go or not. We will be working on some more tools that will take that idea a step further in the new year but I’ll babble more about that later.
For now…
Rat out,
Rat
